STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe in an eternal and supreme God that created and loves the world who is concerned and involved with humanity, working all things out according to His plan. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, who is the way, the truth and the life–the only Savior of the world, that He died on the cross for the sins of humanity and was resurrected from the dead. We believe that He will judge the living and the dead, and that He will return to the earth.

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells believers as evidenced by the fruit of the spirit and by power giving good spiritual gifts to believers. The Holy Spirit works in the hearts of believers, leading and causing them to please God through obedience to Him. We believe those who believe in Jesus Christ will be rewarded with eternal joy in the presence of God for eternity.

We believe Man is a God created being, made in the likeness and image of God (Genesis 1:26; Genesis 5:1-2), and that by one man’s fall (Adam) sin entered into the world. (Romans 5:12).

We believe that salvation is a free gift of God, given to those who believe in Jesus Christ, we have redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of sins by grace, not works (Romans 3:24; Ephesians 1:7; Ephesians 2:8), unless a man is born again, he cannot see or enter the kingdom of God. (John 3:3-5; 2 Corinthians 5:17), God has given us eternal life through belief in His son Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:23; John 3:14-15).

We believe that the Church is made of all people who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. That the Church is called to be an example to the world and is powerful and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. We believe that the ministry of evangelism (sharing and proclaiming the message of salvation only possible by grace through faith in Jesus Christ) and discipleship (helping followers of Christ grow up into maturity in Christ) is a responsibility of all followers of Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Bible is the written and inspired Word of God, it is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16), a guide for living life to the full, is the standard by which we are to live our life.

We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female. Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9.

MINISTRY GUIDELINES

The Guidelines are as follows:

1. In the act of service towards our mission, all members will adopt a confidentiality policy towards all those who are helped. Any violation of this trust is immediate termination from the ministry and subject to legal action.

2. All members will walk and act according to the example that Christ has provided, both in public and private, which includes social media. Our lives must reflect those of a Christ follower, not a follower of the world. 1 Cor. 11:1, Mat. 10:22, Mat. 10:38, Mat. 11:29, Gal. 5:25, 2Tim. 3:12, John 8:12, Titus 3:5.

3. We are accountable to one another; I am my brother's keeper and will help all members to maintain a Godly lifestyle. We choose not to be offended when we are held accountable. We submit ourselves before each other, always placing more importance on others than ourselves. Phil. 2:3-11, Gen. 4:9, Gal. 6:2, Mat. 25:35, James 5:16.

4. All members must attend and be active in a Church or meeting consistently with a body of believers. Members must adhere to our statement of faith. Members of controversial or heretical churches and cults do not qualify for membership in BHC MM. Contact us for more details about this. Heb. 10:24-25, Acts 2:42, Col. 3:16.

5. All matters of rides, charitable events, and other ministry support will be voted upon by the officers. If a tie is present, the President will have the final say on how to proceed.

6. Bikers Helping Captives is a brotherhood. Women cannot hold officer positions or have the traditional bikers helping captives patch. Biker's Helping Captives can have a women's ministry that supports the brotherhood. Ladies can earn a female ministry patch if they follow the women's ministry bylaws and are encouraged to be active support. Eph. 5:21-30.

7. The hang-around and prospect period will be a minimum of 1 year of continued service and can only receive a full patch upon a yes vote from every officer. "Hang Arounds" 6 months until eligible to prospect unless special circumstances are voted by officers. 1 Cor. 1:10, Phil. 2:2, 2 Cor 13:11.

8. When riding, we ride with integrity and responsibility. Adhering to laws set forth by whatever state we are in. We are representatives of Christ and will be an example to our community because of this: Normal speed is ten over max in our cut unless we are in a group ride, in which case keep up with the pack. If you want to go crazy on your own time have fun at your own risk just don’t do it in your cut.

9. All motorcycles will be licensed, insured, and properly maintained. It will be the Road Captain's duty to inspect members' bikes at every meeting. You must have a 600 cc motorcycle to be in the ministry.

10. Bikers Helping Captives will have a meeting and fellowship once a month at the clubhouse or place of choosing to maintain communication and solidarity among members. Each chapter is responsible for setting the day and time.

11. All members will do the work, from President to prospect. We lead others by example. Being on time is essential and required.

12. Bikes must be ready and fueled before leaving the clubhouse or gathering location for a ride. You must show up on time and be prepared to go to avoid being left.

13. All patches and wearable colors are ministry property. Upon leaving or disciplinary actions, patches and soft colors must be turned over to the Sergeant of Arms.

14. Members are required to memorize Isaiah 61:1. For when asked, we may give an account for the calling of our mission and faith. 2Tim. 4:2-5.

15. All disputes will be Biblically based. If you have a problem with a brother, talk to them directly. If you are unable to come to a conclusion with that brother, then and only then can you get an officer involved. If you still can't resolve the issue even with an officer, then the officer can bring it to the ministry leaders. If after all of these things have been done and the situation hasn't been resolved, you may be asked to leave the ministry.  Luke 17:3-4, Mat. 18:15-20.

16. Our mission is to help set captives free from the bondage of sex trafficking. As Christians, it is also our duty to help set free those who are still lost to the world and without Christ. All members must be able at any given time to share their faith and hope that we have in Jesus Christ. Mark 16:15, Luke 24:45-47, 2Tim. 4:5, 1Peter 3:15-16.

17. Because we are not to be of the world. Drunkenness, disorderly "including foul speech," and drugs will not be tolerated. We are to reflect Christ and, therefore, must walk accordingly. No alcohol is allowed while wearing ministry colors. Gal. 5:18-21, Prov. 20:1, Eph. 5:8, Rom. 13:13, Col. 3:8, Eph. 4:29, Ex. 20:7, Pro. 4:24, Mat. 12:36.

18. All officers, both locally and nationally, will have additional biblical responsibilities as well as ministerial responsibilities that will be in the officer handbook.

19. No law enforcement. Although we support Anti-trafficking organizations that will work with law enforcement from time to time due to the nature of Bikers Helping Captives and who we minister to, no one that is in law enforcement or former law enforcement will have the ability to hold membership. We also hold the right to refuse membership to anyone we choose. This is why we have a hang around period.

20. The BHC structure is God, Family, and then ministry, in that order. If your relationship with God is floundering or the ministry is taking away from your family's needs, leadership may ask you to take a sabbatical to focus on your family and relationship with God. You are first a Son, second a husband and father, and third a biker.

21. Officers, If you are not able to follow the biblical responsibilities of a BHC officer or your family is not in a good place, you may also be asked to step down as an officer for a period of time to focus on your family, not out of punishment, but out of honor for the Lord and the brotherhood. The Bible says, "He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect of his brothers. If anyone is not managing his own family well, how can he care of God's Church?" 1 Tim 3:4-5
